Gen V is an upcoming American superhero television series, developed by Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg, and Eric Kripke, serving as a spin-off of The Boys

The irony of censoring the word removed in a comment on a trailer for what is essentially a rated r tv show is hilarious

Your instance lemmy.ml censors it for you, RagingNerdoholic’s lemmy.ca instance doesn’t, so I can see his “sonofabotitch” from my own aussie.zone instance.

Some instances set up swear words censoring, which applies both when submitting and reading, meaning that if you had written the “sonofabotitch” then no one would be able to see it because your instance would censor it on submission.

I honestly thought it was the community censoring it. Did not realize ml did that- guess I’ll migrate!

The beauty and curse of the fediverse, your exact desired settings are out there but you gotta keep finding out about them and trying again.

Hi realcaseyrollins, please can you ask your server admins to look into their time settings?

Your posts always come from the future (“in 2 hours”) so they stick around at the top of everyone’s feeds until the times agree.

    To illustrate

    The issue

It doesn’t look like the linked github issue will get resolved any time soon, so it might be easier if Project Segfault fixes it from their end.

    Thanks.

It’s an issue with kbin and Lemmy communications. Nothing the user can do about it, but I’ve seen talk about fixing it in other threads.

I was hoping he could message his instance admins to change the time of their server.

I realise it doesn’t fix the underlying issue of Lemmy not checking if the timestamp is sane, but it would work as a short-term fix to stop his posts living at the top of a New feed for 2 hours, above everything else that’s genuinely newer.

Posts from kbin.social don’t have the problem (compare this kbin post with this lemmy post (same timestamp), so a workaround is available.

The other thing he could do in the meantime is post from a Lemmy instance, of course. His posts are all seem to be Lemmy communities anyway.

It’s all relative. This post says it was posted 44 minutes ago, but has comments from 2 hours ago. Because it was posted 2 hours ago: see here

The Marie girl’s blood power reminds me of the power from Deadman Wonderland anime.

Edit: Also recommend watching Red Band trailer. This one censors out swearing and I think cut some quick shots from the trailer.

NGL, just a quick glance at the image here and the show title, I was most of the way through the text before I realized my guess that they were taking “girl power” to a dark AF place (ahem, lunar even) was only a little off. 😅😶
