Perhaps he is offended that you classify processed “cheese” as cheese. Have you tried offering a nice mozzarella or cheddar?
Every night he is given sargento and babybel. Same deal. Same for boarshead or tilamuc and all the others. Just didn’t want to waste expensive cheese for the photo when I already knew the result. :)
