That’s a new low…
I’m not particularly excited about women wearing a hijab in general because I’ve always gotten slightly misogynistic vibes from the practice, but we’re not going to end the practice by outlawing it in soccer, and little girls who wear a hijab should be able to see themselves in the players on the pitch, and people should be able to express their religious beliefs on the field, so I’m decidedly happy about it.
Slightly misogynistic? Wow…
Do you feel the same every time a player prays on the field or are you Islamophobic?
I personally can’t stand it when any athlete thanks {insert whichever sky lord you want here}, as if said deity gives a shit about which team or person wins a game. It takes away from their own hard work and dedication and also implies their god is somehow partial to them over others, which if you think about it, is super fucking selfish.
I’m anti religious in general. You can practice your religion at home, once in public - there’s no religion.
Also calling someone who’s against institutionalised misogyny islamophobic is very low. Check your life priorities.
As long as you are consistent it’s fine by me
