Diego Caleiro, who popped up on my radar after he commiserated with Roko’s latest in a never-ending stream of denials that he’s a sex pest, is worthy of a few sneers.
For example, he thinks Yud is the bestest, most awesomest, coolest person to ever breathe:
Yudkwosky is a genius and one of the best people in history. Not only he tried to save us by writing things unimaginably ahead of their time like LOGI. But he kind of invented Lesswrong. Wrote the sequences to train all of us mere mortals with 140-160IQs to think better. Then, not satisfied, he wrote Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality to get the new generation to come play. And he founded the Singularity Institute, which became Miri. It is no overstatement that if we had pulled this off Eliezer could have been THE most important person in the history of the universe.
As you can see, he’s really into superlatives. And Jordan Peterson:
Jordan is an intellectual titan who explores personality development and mythology using an evolutionary and neuroscientific lenses. He sifted through all the mythical and religious narratives, as well as the continental psychoanalysis and developmental psychology so you and I don’t have to.
At Burning Man, he dons a 7-year old alter ego named “Evergreen”. Perhaps he has an infantilization fetish like Elon Musk:
Evergreen exists ephemerally during Burning Man. He is 7 days old and still in a very exploratory stage of life.
As he hinted in his tweet to Roko, he has an enlightened view about women and gender:
Men were once useful to protect women and children from strangers, and to bring home the bacon. Now the supermarket brings the bacon, and women can make enough money to raise kids, which again, they like more in the early years. So men have become useless.
And:
That leaves us with, you guessed, a metric ton of men who are no longer in families.
Yep, I guessed about 12 men.
Men were once useful to protect women and children from strangers
What exactly were 50% or so of those strangers?
This is something that keeps bothering me about these savior complex fantasies of gender. A good man defeats a bad man because ???

what an annoying type of person to encounter while high on acid in the desert
the (main) name sounded familiar from something although I couldn’t remember what(1), so I scanned their twitter to see if I could pick up any related links/people. did this from a sessionless incognito window even, so basilisk only knows what tweets were served to me by the current fevered operation of that infra
burning fires of felon tusks desire to be the sultan of the world’s bazaar notwithstsanding, this was on the first page: https://archive.ph/dvx31
(1) - memory of it seems to be around ~2y old, maybe it also flashed up during the BLM protest months?
Diego, aka Giego, was quietly removed from a whole pile of rationalist subculture websites in the mid-2010s. Probably nothing.
Diego Caleiro is an Analytic Philosopher forged from the intellectual influence of Bertrand Russell, David Lewis, Dan Dennett, David Chalmers, Josh Greene and specially Nick Bostrom.
lol lmao
We really ought to gatekeep Russell fans harder. Oh, you like Russell? What’s your favorite logic and how many theorems have you proven formally? How many theists have you debated?
Don’t give them the last one, it’s the exclusive familiarity they have with Russell
lol at “forged”
while you were studying continental philosophy, I studied the blade
For fuck’s sake, I’ve been a dedicated Yud hater for the vast majority of my twenties and I have no fucking idea what “LOGI” stands for, come the fuck on with your clubhouse lingo assholes
Right, his fuckin’ AGI thing, whatever, bunch of fuckin’ rubes
Wrote the sequences to train all of us mere mortals with 140-160IQs to think better.
This mere mortal with a 14-16 inch dick expresses his doubts.
Yudkowski verbosely expositing basic logical fallacies and cognitive biases didn’t teach me much that I hadn’t already gleaned myself or been taught by middle school age. Am I smarter than the 140-160IQ geniuses1 or was there just something that revolutionary in the sequences I failed to appreciate because I’m not in top one in million intellect2?
1: Yes I am.
2: Also definitely yes.

@TinyTimmyTokyo ‘the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I’ve ever known in my life’, even?
His brain has not been washed, as they say. It has been dry cleaned.
I am a public safety volunteer at Burning Man, and the “seven days old and still in a very exploratory stage”’ just sets off all kinds of alarm bells.
fucking right? I’m surprised there aren’t already stories about “Evergreen” among the safety volunteers
