I love punk, hardcore, emo (not the makeup wearing mid 2000s mall crap). But blind melon is one of my favorite bands ever. Everytime I throw on the self titled my girlfriend always comments that she is amazed this is one of my favorites. But they are just that good from song writing to musicianship to lyrics.

Part of it could be they were the first band I liked as a kid, and Shannon Hoon was the first rock star I remember dying and feeling bad about. But goddamn do I love them.
