What does this title mean?
I’m using the meme to ironically play on a silly idea that America is in decline because it doesn’t produce cars as cool as the El Camino anymore.
Got it. I hadn’t seen that one before.
I love El Caminos. My best friend’s dad bought a 1974 beater when he and I were in middle school and we helped him restore it all through HS. His dad gave it to him as a HS graduation present.
Sounds like your friend had a cool ass dad. El Caminos used to kind of scare me when I was a kid, but as I approach forty I’m starting to think that the guys who drove them had the right idea.
That’s a nice looking elco. My dad had one when I was a kid. I think some day I will have to try and find one.
Did his happen to have rear facing seats in the bed or was that just and option in other pickup cars?
His didn’t. I’m not sure if that was an option or not on El Caminos—I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with seats. I know the Subaru Brat did.
