      Oh. Ha ha. I mentioned that writers who commit common English errors lose their cred, as writing seems to be a requirement (and bad spelling can distract from the thesis), and my comment was pulled.

      So, the medium is no longer the message?

      Help me out, here, for I was led to believe we spell-check and review our writing in the hopes of keeping that illusion of authority on a subject.
