Background:
I like the Phanteks Glacier G4080 in white, but I can’t find it for sale anywhere. In lieu of that, I was wondering if I can buy the Corsair Hydro X Series waterblock, mask off the clear plastic bits, and spraypaint the black portion to white. Would I be able to safely do that? I’ve already tried searching this sub before asking my question and have seen people who have spraypainted radiators but that the recommendation seems to be to not spray radiator fans, but I couldn’t figure out how that translates to the water block on a GPU and didn’t find a post asking this already.
Alternatively - if someone knows of either a white waterblock for a 4070 Ti Super or a white waterblock for a 4080 that has Aura Sync, iCue, or some other RGB functionality in it, and is available for sale in the US from a reputable seller, I’d be open to any out-of-the box recommendations, as well. I don’t currently have the GPU and my plan was to find a white waterblock (or, if not possible, find a black one and spray paint it) and then buy a GPU that goes with the waterblock (either 4070 Ti Super or 4080).
Thanks for your help/time!
