This house is really amazing, but this bathroom is a little much: https://www.oldhousedreams.com/2012/03/29/1960-lambertville-nj/ (Last sold in 2015 for $630K: https://www.longandfoster.com/homes-for-sale/315-Goat-Hill-Road-Lambertville-NJ-08530-250220020)
I’ve seen this before…its a wet bathroom, which means it’s water sealed with sealed electrical outlets and extra drainage. You can take a hose to the entire bathroom to clean it. That’s why there’s no shower curtain, since it isn’t needed. It’s kinda overboard, but people with money seem to like them.
I don’t really see it as overboard. People in Japan (and elsewhere) have wet rooms. I’m a fan of them, cleaning is easier and additional protection from flooding. It’s the exact opposite of carpet in the bathroom.
I’ve never seen one with this texture before. It’s always been tiles when I saw them.
Oh ya this one in particular is hideous.
This needs another coat of pre-seasoning.
“Ok, emo teenage child, you get to design one room in the hou…”
“The bathroom.”
“Are you sure?”
“The real question is… are you sure?”
It looks like a poshed up Soviet interrogation room.
It doesn’t match the rest of the house at all.
If Marilyn Manson casually strolled out of that bathroom closet, I wouldn’t be surprised.
Is this the bathroom from Bob’s Burgers?
Whole place has weird 70’s Rec Center vibes. Retro horror flick waiting to happen. Cleaning would have to be done with a small pressure washer, way too many crevices/rough surfaces.
It gives me the same feeling as the worst dive bar bathrooms.
The rest of the house looks pretty cool, and then you’ve got this bumpy slippery nightmare.
Those who live in glass houses…lol
The texture on those walls just makes me shudder.
The guest house bedroom feels a little too open plan for my liking - an extra wall would be nice.
Right? People over there eating a meal at the dinner table and someone’s sleeping a few feet away… not my cup of tea…
Maybe it wouldn’t be so fugly if it was a lighter color? 😬
