i feel like there is a general consensus amongst the everetters that mr and mrs true are either in an abusive relationship or an s&m relationship. what are some more head canons for this couple. give it to me
I also find it notable that Mrs. True is apparently the only human being to whom Everett doesn’t unfailingly tell the unflinching honest truth

Oh man… My new headcanon is he is a victim of domestic abuse, doesn’t know how to process it, and takes it out on everyone. He doesn’t believe in all the ethical causes he spouts, he is just looking for any possible excuse to pass the pain on.
Everett’s usually got a pretty good sense of ethics, but I’m glad he’s kept in check.
Mrs. True has instilled those ethics in him! He daren’t do anything else!

There’s just a lot of brain damage in this couple at this point.
I like how Mrs. True doesn’t take no guff
They could be secret sleeper agents, forced to marry as a cover for an assignment. Then, someone lost the paperwork and they were never activated to prevent the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, like they were supposed to do. So they hang out and wait …or they could be activated. What are they supposed to do? For whom do they work?
They just live in a world where cartoon physics (or tone armor) applies, that’s all. A whack on the head with a rolling pin is just a little love tap for them, really.
That’s also how Everett’s victims survive his assaults.
