Cawing All Crows
Here is an American crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos) caught calling out to other crows, perhaps a warning. Or maybe, just letting them know its location.
“Crows are familiar over much of the continent: large, intelligent, all-black birds with hoarse, cawing voices. They are common sights in treetops, fields, and roadsides, and in habitats ranging from open woods and empty beaches to town centers. They usually feed on the ground and eat almost anything—typically earthworms, insects and other small animals, seeds, and fruit; also garbage, carrion, and chicks they rob from nests. @[email protected] Crows are like mules - underrated, highly intelligent, remembers those who harm, and never to be forced or messed with. You’ll regret it.
I can tell by observing them that they are pretty smart and social animals. I’ve read about the crows being vindictive.
@[email protected] Crows famously took to disliking to one researcher, so that the whole group would dive bomb him. He tried different clothes without luck. He finally resorted to a cheap Halloween Nixon mask, and they ignored him. They recognize faces, it turns out, and they teach each other who not to like.
Never piss off one crow, they travel in murders.I read about that some time ago.
