Hi all! My (young adult) son wants his PC upgrading for Xmas and I’m confused with all the different things, mostly the graphics card, he currently has Nvidia RTX 1660 super 6gb and it’s about 5 years old I think, the ones I am looking at are RTX 3060 12 gb, 4060 8gb, 4060ti 8gb, 4070 super 12gb, 4080 super 16gb. The one I am probably most able to afford is the RTX 3060 12 gb. Is this a good enough upgrade? All this stuff literally goes over my head! He is into serious gaming but mainly needs it for editing on (I think it’s) Sony Vegas, he does rendering or something too I think?? Don’t want to spend money if this is not going to be fast/good enough. Does it just mean the higher the number the faster the speed?
