@[email protected] Ah, the game which made a picture of a hummingbird shorthand for incredible anticipation.
@[email protected] I remember importing the Japanese version on Dreamcast only to find out the GameCube has a native PAL version. All that time waiting for a Japan exclusive version to arrive and I could’ve picked up a local copy on GameCube instead.
Still it’s a stellar game, one of my favourite shmups, I double dipped with the PAL version on GameCube too after.
I got it at launch when it released in Japan on Dreamcast. no regrets.
Same with Bangaio, which was my first Dreamcast import as I thought “well, surely this little 2D masterpiece will never come to the west”.Cue a European release a little later on… 😅
@[email protected] someday I’ll beat this, someday. I think. Maybe. Somehow
I’ve given up on that fantasy myself. 😅
My biggest problem with this game has always been that it can be played as sorts of a puzzle game, with the chaining mechanic and all.On its own, that’s no problem at all.
The issue lies with how my brain works.
Even when I go in and tell myself “I’m going to ignore scoring and chaining completely and just focus on getting as far as possible”, at one point sooner or later I fall back into the trap of doing just that.
Every single time! 👀Although, I’m still adamant that I will be able to platinum Ketsui on both PS3 and PS4 one day. 😄
