Just one more lane bro
Yall haven’t been on a road trip and it shows
It shows that Americans have not recently experienced a wide network of trains that take them everywhere inexpensively. Freedom comes in many ways.
that would be so nice, but the cult of the car won’t let it happen
You can have road trips and not have to drive everywhere everyday.
You haven’t been to a country with a functioning transit system and it shows. (ps, u can do road trips in those countries, too)
Trips are much more enjoyable when you can just kick back, relax and look out the window on the smooth train ride.
@Blamemeta @diskmaster23 I was on a road trip recently. My country (not the United States) doesn’t have functional trains. It took us six hours to get to another city that’s 180 kilometers away. So much freedom…
City people complaining about city things? Driving is freedom, if you can think outside of the cramped life that is a city. Ever been on a roadtrip? Doesn’t have to be a car either.
Cycling is definitely more freedom than car. Don’t need a license, fuel, insurance, etc. And you’re not affected by traffic.
Road trips are fun, yes, but have nothing ro do with city congestion.
Again, city thinking. If you have everything closeby then a bike or walking is logical. I live rural, I get groceries weekly. Want to go somewhere? Car. Checking on family every week? Car. If I go to work, I need a car. See clients? Car.
If I had just a bike for all of this I would be in trouble because there are not enough hours in a day to make it viable.
Exactly. I already think car dependency sucks. You don’t need to sell #fuckcars to me.
You can move to somewhere more convenient if you’re not happy. I don’t know what you’re doing in this group anyway.
What’s the problem with complaining about issues in the city? Most people live in cities. Do we need to add an asterisk to every post to let you know that it’s not about you?
