The pain medication shortage needs to be stopped. They are attacking the wrong people to act like they are fighting the ‘opioid epidemic’. I hope everyone has been able to get their filled on time if you are even able to get them since doctors are terrified to prescribe them now a days.

    Ah, so it’s mostly the DEA being shitty, just like with stimulants.

    Also, hospitals should use expired pain meds. The expiration date isn’t based on any real science. It’s just there to force providers to buy more drugs more often.

      Shit, the last few opiate pain meds I have are about three years past date, and they still work as well as they did new. Which isn’t very well, but better than nothing.

        Yeah, there have been studies showing that most meds are still just as effective decades after the expiration date. The number of medications that actually go bad in a harmful way is a super short list.
