Defederate Threads. There is no way the Fediverse communities survive a 100 million users platform joining.
Lemmy is 50k monthly active users
Always curious to see the new guy Ritchie, I might give this a try
I don’t really understand the logic behind it either.
The design is goofy at least
Definitely. On !casualconversation@lemm.ee we listed a few non tech communities in the sidebar, feel free to have a look
Thank you!
Does it actually work? All of the jobs are “in progress” except one one the homepage
Interesting, feel free to crosspost to !communitypromo@lemmy.ca or even !newcommunities@lemmy.world
Mbin is the nicer version of Kbin
Lemmy.world is really too big. We just moved !casualconversation@lemmy.world to !casualconversation@lemm.ee to try help with those issues.
Hopefully other communities will do the same, but the issue doesn’t seem to be very well known.
By the way, thank you for your post about centralization of communities a while back, I used it in the post to explain to the community why we were moving: https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/10810804?scrollToComments=true
Wow, that’s a lot. We are in act 2.
I guess we are far from being done yet.
Nice comment, have a good one
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your valuable comment.
I believe there are some others in other languages.
There is Mbin in PHP!
Happy you liked it!
Where your surprised?
And before anyone asks, Lord Voldemort doesn’t appear in Prisoner of Azkaban, he’s only mentioned
Here is your community viewed from Mbin: https://kbin.run/m/koalawallawoods@lemmy.world
As you can see, posts are there, it’s possible to comment as well.
It will be the same for Sublinks
Well said
The old account is still there if you need to refer to a previous comment.
You “reputation” (in “people recognizing you in comments”) can be the same if you keep the same name and avatar.
There are no karma requirements anywhere on Lemmy.
The one I get is moderators that don’t want to move their communties, but for individual accounts, there isn’t much to lose (and trust me, I have around a dozen alts)
Great!
