Nah i totally got where you were coming from, and yeah, all good advice. I think the winning advice is “go for the features you want regardless of displacement so long as you can exercise self control”

I think all I was trying to get at on the subject of displacement, is when that ridiculous amount of power is available, the temptation to use it is strong. You can die on a Yamaha Zuma. But the 600s are plenty powerful, very fast, very nimble, but they do put at least some ceiling on the trouble your right hand can get into.
You don’t need a liter. The ZX6R or any other 600cc sport bike will provide plenty of thrills. If you survive into your 30s and decide you’re responsible enough for 1000ccs have at it. Most people I know that bought a liter bike in their 20s are either dead or disabled.
This is the real answer. In this day and age where a 16gb USB stick can be had for literally $5usd on Amazon, it would be silly not to have a few kicking around. I don’t think any Linux distro live environment media requires more than 16gb, and it’s more than enough for updating a bios. I even used one to update the infotainment system in my vehicle last week. Kind of a necessary tool.
Oh yeah sure let’s just have two games that are almost identical, split the efforts of the devs into maintaining them both and releasing consistent updates, split the efforts of the server administrators into maintaining them both, and detract from your concurrent player base from our new game to keep our old game on life support.
Yall are some crybabies. CS:GO was alive for 10 years, CS2 has been out for 1. It took some time to re-work Dust 2 and add it back into the map pool. I miss agency, I miss cache, but those maps are being reworked and added in over time. It’s a long game scenario here. Give it time and enjoy the free to play game that they sunk a shitload of resources into dramatically improving, that they are going to maintain for at least another decade, just like the last game.
It’s a new engine, all maps have had to be reworked, even the official maps. Most games with mods even break those mods with small routine updates. So no, CS:GO is gone, and so is all of its content. There are plenty of new maps and training routines in the CS2 workshop.
You’re absolutely right on the confession bit. This is also Louisiana, I’m not sure police and legal systems get any more corrupt than theirs, especially if you’re black.
Shooting one family member might be an accident, shooting two is almost definitely not.
Yeah, I’ve considered VR for a long while, but between the already existing headaches, and the Linux related headaches I’ve heard of, I’ll just wait until I’m retired for VR space games, VR racing, and VR porn. Hopefully it’ll get better before I’m dead.
Everything people are saying here checks out, but you might struggle with VR. I haven’t tried VR on Linux yet, but I’ve heard some things about support being pretty janky. Maybe others with experience can weigh in.
It’s expensive because it utilizes WiFi-7, the hottest new thing in WiFi technology that most cellphones and WiFi cards can’t even take advantage of yet. Every other WiFi 7 router I’ve seen is also outrageously expensive. There is only one that a quick scroll on Amazon listed under the $200 mark, which is limited to 4 streams, has a limited selection of ports, etc. WiFi 6e is a much more supported technology and similar tiers of routers in wifi 6e are more affordable than their WiFi 7 counterparts.
Obviously Ethernet is a better choice for gaming, but it’s not always an easy option for most people. If you look at the actual capabilities of some of the “gaming” routers, their throughput and coverage in a large home could make a big difference for someone trying to play counterstrike on a gaming laptop without having to run 80ft of cable through their house.
Another classic case of “you don’t want it? Don’t fucking buy it.” The capabilities do fill a niche for those with the money.
Do we have any non shitty source for that? Because I’ve seen the right’s take pop up multiple times with zero rebuttal.
There is no metric by which I could be called a “conservative”, and yeah, fuck this. There is no assistance that should be given to undocumented migrants before it’s given to literally everyone else first.
Instructions unclear, I creamed my jeans.
I’m well aware of the risks inherent to not running calyx or graphene, but my threat model doesn’t justify sacrificing a lot of the functionality that I enjoy on an iPhone. If my threat model required it, I’d have an unactivated burner and a pixel device running calyx in addition to my iPhone. I’m happy settling for “better than google” based on my needs. I also have a couple PCs running Linux, with steps I can take to ensure some level of privacy if needed.
Thanks for posting some good reading though, it’s all shit I’m generally aware of.
Thanks 🙏🏻
Safe to assume that these patches will be provided via operating system updates? Patch to the kernel for Linux users? I see bajillion articles when I look up sinkclose, but nothing about the patch method.
As if we needed further confirmation that they aren’t here to protect us? The police are just pirates, a sanctioned crime organization. Never expect their protection.
System76 forums might be a better place for a conclusive answer.
I even swapped out for a custom “super” key that matches the font of my keyboard and lets the rgb shine through.
