Chevy Bolt (electric) is approx. 3,600 lbs. Ford Fiesta (gas) is approx. 2,500 lbs. I think your numbers are kilograms. Sorry to be pedantic, just trying to get correct numbers. But what you’re saying is basically correct. Most small EVs are still lighter than midsize and bigger ICE cars. If you want apples to apples: the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV is 5,000 lbs, whereas the 2024 gas version is approx. 3,400 lbs.

Nah, most push and riding mowers are definitely 4 stroke. You’re absolutely correct that 2 strokes need to burn oil and create some visible smoke (to be properly lubricated). Only small, powered equipment (such as trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws) are still commonly made with 2 strokes. My smoking push mower was made in the mid 1980’s and is miraculously still running. It apparently has worn seals that are allowing crankcase oil into the combustion chamber.
Mine burns a little oil, so I just keep adding it. That way it gets a perpetual oil change. guytappinghead.jpg
I haven’t tried sideloading Plexamp on my Android TV, but it seems like I probably should. Does anyone have experience with this?
This takes me back. Y’all made me recall running Trillian Pro with a cracked loader. Oh, and what about DeadAIM?! I feel ashamed (as a current FOSS fan) that I didn’t switch to Pidgin until after pirating all the popular AIM alternatives.
There’s no reason to trust any homebrew or cracked Windows ISO. Just go with Win 10 LTSC. All the bullshit is removed and it has support until 2027. MAS flawlessly activates it. Linux is indeed the better option, and I’ll be heading that way soon enough.
I’d prefer to just spawn at the top, and never have to contemplate that pedaling life.
I’m unable to disable that app (app.grapheneos.camera). Its greyed out. I assume I did get a prompt initially asking me to “Complete action using Camera” and I hit “Always.” That was before I found and installed the Google camera (com.google.android.GoogleCamera). So I’m still stumped how to alter that double-tap “Open by default” to a different, non-built-in camera app (and I can’t seem to find anything in settings). Not a huge deal, but it would be nice to know. Thanks all!
I agree that you should be able to change which app opens with double tap. But AFAICT you cannot on GrapheneOS build 2024082200. Someone please enlighten me, if you know a way.
You can still install the Google camera app alongside the GrapheneOS camera app. Double tapping power button still takes you to the built in camera (but you at least have the option of either app). https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.GoogleCamera
Who pissed in your Cheerios, brother? I said that its sad to see the mental decline and personality changes of loved ones in their final years. I get that aging affects everyone differently. I hope those around me in my final years, don’t see a shell that differs from the person I presented the world, throughout my healthy life. I hope the same for you and the ones you love as well.
Aging is sad, especially when it happens to those you love. But I think we can all admit that old guys get real weird as they approach their mortal expiration. I’ve unfortunately seen the mood swings and complete lack of couth as the mind degrades in the final years.
For those turned off by Mozilla’s latest tracking they snuck in, I highly recommend Fennec. Its a fork of Firefox you can find on F-droid. You can still get it to sync with your Firefox and the same addons work.
Thanks! It does indeed look like people try out Linux before the new Windows release. Then it returns to the slower adoption trend.
Someone should add major Windows releases on the X axis. There’s gotta be some correlation.
How big are your cargo shorts? You think no one is going to mind you chefing it up during trailers?
This is a non-issue. Why not use Aegis and backup your own credentials? I wouldn’t trust Authy (or any 2FA app that includes cloud backup).
Never connect a smart TV to your WiFi, disable WiFi, connect an Android TV box via HDMI and use that. Debloat, root, or run a custom ROM on that box. Then run SmartTube, Jellyfin, Pi-hole, etc. to bring ad-free sanity to your living room. Obviously a dumb TV is best. But this is your best alternative, if you already have a “smart” TV.
