Until the devs make some planned changes, follow these steps to link the communities you are interested in to this instance:

Visit this list of communities
Find one you like e.g. https://beehaw.org/c/news
Go to our search page
Enter the community info in the following format !<community_name>@<instance_url> e.g. [email protected]
Nothing will come up, but then if you go back to the communities page, the new community should be there!
