    There’s some bot that links to piped, but i’d prefer people stop using youtube as a source for information / shilling their channel

          Wait it takes forever for you? Like the piped app? Mine has been instant for the last 2 years. Like straight up faster than the Youtube offical app

            Everytime I used Piped I would deal with buffering lasting an entire year, or the video just outright wouldn’t play (very common on kavin.rocks)

            Invidious doesn’t have this problem but it doesn’t support Sponsorblock and I’m not a big fan of its UI

            Maybe I’ll try again, could have been a bad day, but my experience was bad enough I could not justify considering it as a viable alternative.

            I thought it was unresponsive until I put my phone down to make some tea, came back and it just then started to play.

              I mean with how many upvotes your comment has, I think it means something is different between my experiences and other people’s. I’m just not sure what the cause of the difference is.

                Yeah I just tried another one, it took 21 seconds to begin playing the video from when I pressed the play button.
