You create a new user to repost that users content from reddit? This is absolutely ridiculous. You make it so we can’t block your spam by blocking the bot user if you create a new user for every post.

I was wondering this too. Seems like the spam is coming from the alien.top instance, so I’ve blocked it. What a dumb idea.

Yeah, it isn’t this community and instance.

Sadly, unless you use lemmy via one of the apps that can filter instances, this bot is annoying as fuck since you can’t just block the bot itself. It posts using bot generated user names.

Luckily, there are apps that filter instances, so there’s that on mobile as an option. Otherwise, that kind of bullshit bot would make lemmy unusable.

I see a total of 3 posts here. Maybe you haven’t blocked any bots?

I believe it’s because you’re on Lemmy.world, and they blocked the auto posts on this instance.

Where are you looking? This community is totally full of these reposts from reddit, posted from alien.top.

How ironic is it that most of these posts are super negative:

    • “my wifi sucks”
    • “don’t use this brand”
    • etc.

One of the many reasons that I switched to Lemmy
