Hello fellow nyets!

I’ve been meaning to set up PotW as a thing for this community, but I got distracted, and the low traffic isn’t helping. It’s a chicken and egg problem. But now it has been directly suggested to me so I gotta make it happen.

Every Monday, the top post from the “top week” list will be selected as the week’s PotW. It would be featured in the top of the sidebar.

As always, feedback and suggestions are welcomed! Adjustments will be made accordingly.

P.S. mod applications are implicitly always open. I’m looking for people who has more photography knowledge than me and has a lot to share wrt content and advice. :)

Share photos, images, etc. by nyets, for nyets. ITAPs are much welcomed!

How to post

Main image: Upload an image in the Image field, or link to an image in the URL field.
Linking external galleries (e.g. imgur or pixelfed albums) are fine too.
Additional images: In the post editor, press the image icon to upload images. Drag-drop and copy-paste image data from clipboard works too.
Otherwise, normal image markdown formatting (![alt-text](url)) works just as well.
Formatting: To center or right align images in the post body, put them in a table, e.g.:

```
Other:
- Filling the alt-text and providing extra information (where/when/who/equipment) is appreciated.
- You should attribute images that you don’t take yourself, in post body or in comments.

Content guides

No pornograpic, sexually explicit, graphic, or shock content.
Respect ownership. Don’t repost content explicitly prohibited from being reposted.
No reposts from Pictures of the Week.
Don’t use this community to spoil content from other communities.

Visibility: Public

This community can be federated to other instances and be posted/commented in by their users.
