I’ve been getting the surface laptop go’s for the more mobile staff at my work since they’re decently powerful for a good price. Really hope they don’t go adding APUs and driving up the price on that line. 12th gen Intel has plenty of power, they better not discontinue the SLG3 like they did with the 2, otherwise I may need to find a new lightweight laptop that’s not overly expensive. Personally, I’ve been using a SLG3 with EndeavourOS and I love it!
I agree–EndeavourOS (and its always up to date packages) is perfect for the Surface line! I’ve got an SLS (i5) and Surface Go (1) both running EOS; apart from a few update issues I needed to resolve manually, my experience has been fantastic

I wonder what percentage of Surface users on Lemmy are running Linux–I’d bet it’s significant. Massive shoutout to all the contributors to the linux-surface kernel for their hard work
