Used one of those rental scooters for the first time this evening. Have used it for the ebikes before but never a scooter. (Tried a scooter once before back during the Lime days, but it wasn’t working so I gave up and walked.)
Gods they are incredibly unstable. I’m honestly shocked they’re allowed, and I’m now far more concerned about those people who ride on one they’ve cracked the regulator on. And the price is still obscene compared to the CityCycle they were meant to be a “replacement” for. Easily 20x the price.
But I will say, they’re still pretty fun. I enjoyed the ride in.

They are pretty terrible. It’s a bad business model so it’s predictable that the companies would let it all fall into disrepair.
