Wizards of the Coast has confirmed that "some AI components" were used in recent marketing artwork and that it will be rethinking how it works with vendors for its promotional creative efforts.
Let’s say they don’t create original artwork, and only/mostly use AI generated artwork. May I ask why it matters? It’s a little cringey to see big corporations are using it, but it’s also silly to assume that programmers used to pay for art for personal projects. In the vast majority of cases, they just avoided pursuing projects that required a lot of artwork. The whole “I wrote a cool indie game and I need an artist; I can’t pay you, but I can give you a share of the profit!!!” meme exists for a reason.
The reverse is also true: artists can use AI to cut out the software dev in their own projects. Shouldn’t that be regarded as a good thing? Devs are expensive right now.
Speeds up my programming a lot by being able to review my code for me, as well as suggest ways for me to approach issues.
I also use image generation stuff for design inspiration and place holder art.
So are you yourself an artist?
Not professionally.
Alright then your opinion on this particular aspect of AI isn’t valid for this conversation.
Lol.
Person who uses AI daily has no say in the validity of using AI.
Okay champ!
Go back to shitting in the street because plumbing stole the night soil men’s job.
Having chat gpt feed you code isn’t that same as having fully created art created in seconds by typing a prompt, champ.
Did you miss the part where I specifically mention using it for imagery as well?
Anyway look, you don’t use AI so your opinion doesn’t matter. Bye.
Let’s see your original artwork then, champ. Post it up!

Truly pathetic, this is all your argument boils down to?
