…but I don’t want to get rid of it! Been using RIF since 2011 and it’d feel so weird to take it off my home screen. I tried the Reddit app but it pollutes the front page with so much unnecessary shit that it becomes a chore to browse. Liking the look of Lemmy so far though.

I keep doing it. I only deleted it off my home screen today and now there’s a “RiFt” on my screen :( I don’t have the heart to uninstall it yet.

Yes, but surprisingly my rig still works to see the homepage and saved my fav subs, just can’t logon to post or vote. So it’s still not the same.

I did see some posts about some how patching rif to a “vanced” version I wanna check out so I can keep tabs on other communities that are migrating while I continue transitioning over to lemmy

I just replaced it with Jerboa, although I keep going to wefwef nowadays since it’s such a good web app

I put the app into a box with lemmy apps and it breaks my heart. It’s an app I have used countlessly many times.

It’s definitely heavily geared towards iOS design principles, but if you can get past that wefwef.app has been the most stable and smooth experience I’ve found, despite being a PWA and not a native app.

I’ve been using Liftoff as it’s the closest to how RIF felt to me. I was able to go in the settings and switch the posts to compact and have the font sizes smaller to get it as close to RIF as possible.

I’ve been using Jerboa and it’s working out well. I’ve tried the connect for Lemmy app, but once I tried making a long comment and the text went behind my keypad and I couldn’t scroll, so I couldn’t see what I was typing. I’m always on the lookout for more apps and trying them out until I find one I really like. I’m looking forward to seeing Sync for Lemmy up in action.

Connect for Lemmy, turn on List View and the AMOLED theme and it gets pretty close to the RiF experience. Not 1 for 1, but close enough for what I’m doing. I also put it in the spot RiF has been for 10 years 😞.

I keep it around so that when I click reddit links in Google they go to RIF instead of the dog shite mobile site. Can’t log in or comment though.

I hid it from the app drawer/list, so I can only get to it by searching or with a link.

Stealth (com.cosmos.unreddit) has a switch for web scraping mode, however reddit being left as only a really badly ran potemkin village gives the site an uneasy feeling

The app still works for me but maybe that’s because I’m not using any user login and am just using it to read a couple of subs that haven’t migrated yet.
