Aghhhhhhh i’ve wanted to do this and pull the gps and cellular transceiver out of my car for decades but it’s a whole fucking process.

Predictably, everyone on the forums thought i was mad for not wanting whatever subcontractor is able to send “updates” to my car to be able to track me with 1m precision.

Something I have been meaning to work on is to plug in a coax load terminator (basically a resistor) onto the cellular antenna of my car’s info system. This way the car cannot call home, and it still leaves the functionality of other things, like the bluetooth car microphone.

I have the adapters and the terminator, I just havent taken the time to poke around in the car.
