I don’t know if “skywalker” came from “stormtrooper” but I don’t think these names are related.
The surprise is when you think Luke Skywalker wasn’t named Gud Falla or something like that.
In the (wildly different) earliest surviving drafts he was named Starkiller. Now imagine this naming convention on all the good guys.

The names didn’t start that way. In an early draft, the story began with Annikin Starkiller, his dad Kane, and his brother Deak.
Hell, in the first movie Vader wasn’t even going to be Lukes father. He had actually killed Anakin until they rewrote the story for the sequel.
