Short Eared Owls are not the easiest subject for me to photograph! They fly fast, then slow, then floppy, they make unexpected turns and then dive straight down. Whenever get a half decent pic, it’s a celebration!

Beautiful photos of this Shortie. I love their blunt, circular faces, especially in flying photos!

These photos are incredible! Whatever you’re doing seems to working to get those shots.

These kinds of posts are the reason I’ve become a bit annoying at work when someone asks me “what animal do I like?” Owls are da bomb. Keep it up!

*edit. I assume you’re not the not the photographer. Thanks for sharing and you can tell them “Lemmy thinks you’re pretty good”

Just lots of browsing Facebook groups and looking up owl species I haven’t talked about in a while… 😁

      (I saw your edit.)

I did take many of the photos from the last week though. You can tell because I always try to shoot in an extremely amateurish style, so as not to show off too much! 😇

I try not to share stuff I cant attribute back to whomever the actual photographer is and not to share reposts or stolen work. These people do amazing work and I want them to get the credit they deserve. Plus they have more great pics than I could ever share with you, so I want you to follow the sources! They all usually shoot way more than just owls, so give them a look now and then.
