I know I shouldn’t care about the opinions of cis people so much BUT there’s this one cis woman I know who is always so nice about me being trans. She complimented my hair and said I had good color coordination and later recommended a local sapphic group to me. Getting gender affirmation from cis women is the best feeling in the world :3
Naw especially early on, it feels really good to be accepted, I guess bc it feels like Wow, someone with a whole lifetime of experience being a woman said I was good at it too!! Kind of a big one ig.
Cis people are only allowed if they give us all the compliments and praise
I’m sorry I was reading all this comments about reclaiming and my blood was boiling “reclaiming” is the most dumbass shit on the planet, like fr you are not being cool and hip by calling people slurs “oh but its removing the power of the word dont be such a f slur” stfu this shit make me so angry I’m sorry
did you mean to reply to bat here? slur talk was a separate comment
slur talk
i am generally pro reclamation but i would obviously never call someone a slur they didn’t want to be called, and i can’t help but feel like you’re arguing with someone who doesn’t exist, at least not in the discussion that happened earlier. no one said “anyone who doesn’t reclaim slurs is lame and a [slur],” everyone who was even a little pro reclamation said “i would never call someone a slur they weren’t ok with, and i wouldn’t even call MYSELF a slur if they would be uncomfortable with it”
not that it’s a crime to complain about interactions had off the site (or elsewhere! hexbear has some pretty shitty people on it sometimes!) and i definitely don’t think there’s a problem with holding that viewpoint, but if there’s a respectful discussion happening like this it’d be nice if you engaged with the discussion happening and not just shadowbox fellow trans comrades
if you posted this with the context that you had just had an argument like that where someone was being shitty, or if you said “oh i can’t stand slurs being reclaimed and i can’t stand the discussion because [the thing you described] happens sometimes” that’d be totally fine, and i wanna emphasize that i don’t think you’re wrong to feel that way, i just don’t think it’s cool to reply to a different unrelated comment like that

You replied to the wrong comment, but still on that thread no one said anything about calling other people slurs, it was about self-IDing

Where did you get this idea that the plan is to start calling everyone random slurs?
Edit: Sincerely, not a rhetorical question or a jab. I want to know if my comment was misread somehow.
