WASHINGTON—Responding to fallout from the Israeli military’s killing of seven World Central Kitchen aid workers in Gaza, President Biden made an address Thursday asserting that Israel had an obligation not to harm his reelection chances.

“Let me be clear: Israel is bound by international law not to engage in any activities that undermine my ability to win a second term,” said Biden, emphasizing that if Israel did not reverse course and end civilian casualties soon, then progressive and Arab American voters were at extreme risk of sitting out November’s general election. “

Prime Minister Netanyahu and I have spoken on several occasions about the importance of keeping me in power, and he has assured me he will do everything he can to mitigate any domestic political fallout in the United States. Still, the damage this war has done to my polling cannot be ignored.” At press time, Biden quietly signed off on sending another 2,000 bombs to Israel to ensure he was reelected.

    Yes, Trump is worse.

But making Biden feel threatened is the single best thing any American voter can do right now.

Yeah that shitty and part of it, but it was more. These were mainly people outside of the conflict, providing pure charity, extraordinary charity, building piers out of rubble just to get food to people.

Their deaths were explicit and well documented, with graphic photos of destruction and if you went looking, explicit photos of the murdered. They had followed ever single rule provided to them, went out of their way to still protect themselves wearing armor and moving in armored vehicles, and they were still directly and chillingly killed, while engaging in charity, by “the good guys.” They even tried to call the IDF as they were bombed, the initial survivors running from vehicle to vehicle in a vain attempt at cover until they were dead.

They have a celebrity philanthropist who is grief stricken and explicitly willing to blame “the good guys” for intentionally killing them with malice, who keeps releasing new details about the killing, like the above call. They came from several nations who are allied with “the good guys,” so that means heads of state get involved, and talk to each other and the press.

So yeah, its shitty they are finally getting the attention all 200 of the aid works Isreal killed deserve, but its not all just racism.

Biden’s change in tone has nothing to do with the World Central Kitchen deaths.

Biden’s change in tone has everything to do with approximately 50,000 voters in key states refusing to check his name, the only name available, on their primary ballots. Enough of a margin that he will safely lose.

Note, his behaviors have not and will not change in substantive any way, but his rhetoric has slightly changed.

As far as the rest of the international community, sounds about right.

I don’t think 50,000 is nearly enough to make the call that he would safely lose. Especially considering that many of those 50,000 would vote for him anyway when push comes to shove.

That was almost 50,000 in just the Wisconsin primary on Tuesday. Biden’s 2020 margin of victory in the state was 21,000 votes.

50k is well more than enough to make the call he would safely lose.

5k doing so should be a 5 alarm fire. 50k is a sinking/ sunk ship. Dudes a fucking disaster. We’re just about in the territory of “Any other blue will do”.

“Key states”. I also didnt go back to verify specific stats, look like some other people have given firmer numbers.

The article I read focused mainly on Wisconsin, New York, and another state I think? All considered key states for Democrats.

Nikki Haley and Joe Biden both received 1.5Million dollars from israeli lobbies this election.

Meanwhile and Trump just got 100k from israeli lobbies.

So israel certainly doesn’t seem to prefer Trump over Biden. Trump actually seems to be their least preferred option.

Possibly. Trump will still likely not be better than Biden but israel certainly seem to have preferred Nikki Haley or Biden over him.

Especially their heavy push for the now dead in the water Nikki Haley is interesting.

I think you’re mis-reading it. My take on it is that they already have Trump in their pocket, so why pay? They also have much more info than we do e.g. maybe Trump will not be the Republican nominee after all, maybe he’ll be barred from running, in prison etc. so I wouldn’t say this means Israel prefers Biden over Trump.

But yes Israeli aggression will be much worse and much more flagrant with Trump in power in the U.S.

In that case why did they invest so much in Nikki Haley to dethrone Trump?

Don’t get me wrong I don’t think Trump will actually be an improvement over Biden because he’s already on the Genocide tone, but it is just very odd that in action (funding) Trump is their last pick. Trump is also hunkering for cash pretty bad so bribing him now would be prime time.

To be very, very clear: it is in the best interests of Israel that Biden loses the election. Of the two choices that we realistically have in the US, it is in the best interests of the Palestinian people that Biden wins.

Trump will do everything he can to help Israel accelerate the genocide. Biden is at least making positive noises to stop the genocide, even if he’s not doing anything yet.

Biden has done every single thing Netanyahu asked him to. From giving him all the weapons to building a pier. And Biden allowed israel to bomb to Iranian embassy. It’s hard to surpass this level of compliance

Israel has also recently colonized a **massive **part of the West Bank recently and Biden approved it and blocked condemnation of it at the UN.

Only now WFC employees got murdered by israel are we seeing a slight shift in tone because it seems like Biden is desperately clawing back some voters for the election.

The only thing Trump could do worse is literally invade Iran and start WW3. Of course Trump could do that but it’s very unlikely even for him, as he didn’t do it in his first term and now has beef with Netanyahu over bombing Suleimani.
