i have a UDMpro and have my WAN connected to port 9 (spectrum supplied surf board, rj45). i have my UDMpro connected to a unifi poe16 switch via port 10, the putative SFP port for internet connection. i’m using a direct attach cable for the SFP/SFP connection. i realize that i should connect to the switch via the UDM port 11 (the other SFP)…but it is working for now.

i realized all of this as i’m bringing in another provider, so i’ll have two ISPs and failover.

when i pulled the DA cable from port 10, to move it to its proper place on port 11, the DA cable would not slide home. it goes into the SFP port but does not “land.” anybody have any insight? i did not push very hard, not wanting to damage anything. it slides home in port 10 without a problem. nice, positive connection.
