Hey Ya’ll

So I am having a dilemma. I currently use a USG and I think that is causing a bottleneck in my network. Compared to the UDM and UDR, I mean I should be upgrading the router to something more recent anyway right?

Thing is, my Wifi radios are AX. The UDR has a dual-core with an AX radio. The UDM is quad-core but has only AC.

I found this handy article:

https://dongknows.com/ubiquiti-wi-fi-6-unifi-dream-router-udr-review/#:~:text=The%20two%20are%20almost%20identical,ports%20are%20now%20PoE%2Denabled.

Reddit is telling me that UDM is superior to the UDR (in regards to the routing functionality).

I also have a CKG2+ w/ protect enabled (I have a UVC-G3-MICRO)

So if I go with the UDR I can replace the CKG2+ and have a cleaner setup, and maintain a AX wifi network.

If I go with the UDM I would have to keep the CKG2+ for protect only, and have a mix of AC and AX.

Any advice or feedback good or bad would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
