I (22F) haven’t had a job in seven months. My resume looks awful because of the gap so no places are even offering me interviews. I had a car, but unfortunately it broke down on me and I wasn’t able to fix it in time before it was repossessed. I live in a very small city, so I have no access to public transportation. Thankfully my boyfriend (23M) has been able to take care of the bills for the meantime. I just feel so awful that I can’t help provide for us. It’s really been taking a toll on my mental health because I’m staring at my phone all day (either applying to jobs or distracting myself from feeling like a complete failure). I’ve applied to WFH jobs, but as I stated earlier my resume isn’t great. My boyfriend said he’d give me rides if it lined up nicely with his work schedule, but I don’t want to cause more stress on him. If anyone has any ideas of how to get out of this rut it would be so greatly appreciated.
