So basically AI is just computers, computers are just math and engineering. So how can the geniuses hold so disparate views a “stochastic parrot” versus “understanding stuff + internal world model” ? Or maybe this is just the general behaviour amongst scientists even in fields such as Mathematics? I’m just having a hard time understanding how you can create something without understanding what you have created.
