My friends I often build a server and upload various mod pack to it. Sometimes we take modpacks, sometimes we create our own. But one thing always remains the same - if the modpack does not have a quest tree for 100+ hours, then people will quickly lose interest in the game. Like, if there is no final goal written in the quest tree right before their eyes, then for them the game ends with killing the ender dragon (aka when vanilla ends).
Can someone explain to me why this is the case? Why do you need a final goal to have fun? Can’t you do cool weird stuff without a quest tree? I just don’t understand it, We’ve already had a couple of servers die because of this, and even though we’ve learned from this mistake, it’s still damn sad.
