Other than the 1971-2003 Dodge Ram Van, is there any American vehicle platform that has had a longer run? (Vehicles without a full redesign…not nameplates, please.) In two years, it will match the VW Beetle’s 1949-1979 run for the US market…though Chevy would have to keep it in production until 2050 to match the Beetle’s worldwide run.
