Hi guys, I’m building a home theatre (19’9" x 13’). I have speakers by Paradigm and a denon receiver already from my previous home theatre (which was not properly planned)
I want this time to be a proper home theatre, so I will be installing a wall to wall carpet, and raised rows for seating. I need help with the acoustic treatment.
After watching a few videos on YouTube, I’ve understood that acoustic treatment is to reduce the reverb/echo. My questions are-
- How much of the surface area of wall/ceiling be covered with acoustic panels
- What type of finish should be done on the rest of the wall area?
- Do we need to make reverb/echo zero? Is there a tool to measure this?
Thanks in advance
