I agree with the comment about the acoustic rendition of the song hitting differently, it truly does.
Anyone else sing along to this song and then just give up on the high notes?
Morten Harket himself does that nowadays. He’s still an incredibly skilled singer, but his voice simply doesn’t have the same range anymore. When performing this song now he usually goes down an octave for “In a day or two”
This was not true of the show I went to in July 2022. Here is a small clip as proof. I was honestly shocked at how good they were.
