Life is hard - for everybody, but in many ways more so for blind and visually impaired folks. It’s also awesome though, so let’s talk about that.

What did you recently succeed in and want to talk about? Work, relationships, travel… something else?

Both. I have an old injury that is starting to hurt more and more, and I bought some cheap forearm crutches hoping it would stop hurting before the crutches got annoying. Well, it didn’t, so im getting some actual nice ones. I never knew that some crutches could be so expensive. There was one brand that is almost 900 bucks.

I’ve been cigarette free (back to only vaping) for about two weeks. Also, after procrastinating for awhile, I finally took a replacement fender for my car to a paint shop. Hoping to get it back within 1-2 weeks.

At the end of June, my friend Matt Shifrin and I gave our first public presentation about accessible gaming. Fun! We’ve started discussing where we’ll present next in the greater Boston area.

And hey, I got a free game out of it! Last year I playtested a game by a local game designer, and I offered some suggestions for accessibility improvements. He applied my suggestions, and as thanks he gave me a copy of his game once it was published.
