My favorite class of the Disgaea series is the Winged Warrior. I don’t care that they’re a “monster class.” Not only do they look cute, they can move fast! At least six tiles per turn or more - tack on shoes for me and watch me zoom! Also they generally are able to move through enemies. Overall they might have gotten me to like the “moth man” cryptid more.

What improvements do you suggest for the monster classes to make them not feel like they’re arbitrarily made inferior to humanoids? And what’s your favorite monster class?

A bit more versatility on them would be nice, like making Magichange or giant fusion or mounting or other attendant gimmicks worthwhile.

I like the fire demons from…DD2 I think? And the rifle demons from 4, the golems and living armors and bone dragons as well.

      How about yours?

My favorite is the Winged Warrior, I think they’re cute, they move far distances, and they can fly over enemies. I’m not limited as much in the movement department.

I don’t really feel that because usually I play one as like a self insert and thus I’m usually way higher level/stronger than the rest of the party.

Nice. The monster voices change every few games though so it isn’t possible to have that funny Winged Warrior voice from Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention in the later games…
