I wish my DM had the guts to kill my PC. He likes teasing us, but when push comes to shove, he backs down and makes up some contrived way to have the character survive.
I like my current campaign, but it’s kind of difficult to take the hardships seriously when you know the game’s rigged from the start.

I did, but my DM is a big softie :)
