Are you a person that is just around for the art/stories, or do you like gaining/being fat irl as well? Do you have any goals related to this? Is there anything else that comes up in your life that makes you appreciate, or think about being a fatfur?

Personally I love being a fatfur, I absolutely would not have it any other way.

I too love the art, but I do also love eating, being fat, and sometimes stuffing though not that often. In a perfect world I’d love to get as fat as I want (that is, very) but first of all lots of food is expensive, but also in the interests of not having too many health problems I’m not going all in on the eating until I have going to the gym sorted out.

I’m hoping to start some serious weight training soon so I can make some progress to this dream bod:

How attainable is this really? I have no idea, but I’m gonna give it a damn good shot.

That’s a textbook sumo bod and for a moment there I mistook his briefs for a mawashi. It’s a lot of work to build up and maintain that but it is doable. You’ll need to exercise heavily, not only with weight training but cardio as well, and before eating so as to not burn the calories you’re taking in, and you’ll need to eat a LOT of food rich in protein and fatty acids which may or may not align with your preferred foods - calorie intake would be primarily through volume, not density. I’d definitely recommend looking up the traditional sumo training regimen. You’ll also have to keep up the training for as long as you stay big. What often happens to retired sumo wrestlers is that their muscles will immediately start to atrophy and they start to suffer from the various known problems associated with unmanaged obesity unless they work to lose the weight.

Thanks a bunch for the info! Early days for me, I’m just making a start on some research and my cardio so I have a decent base to work off of.

This I figured at least, I know with most major muscle gain you gotta keep that stuff up or you’ll get atrophy pretty quickly as you said.

Yeah didn’t think about that till recently but totally sumo vibes. Wonder if that was intentional on the artists part or not lol
