What can be done? Here’s a man who, completely unprovoked, having great pay and the support of both the school system and the children’s parents, went completely nuts and chose random children to single out for embarrassment and ridicule. /s
JK - a school with 97% minority enrollment and 78% economically disadvantaged enrollment isn’t likely receiving much support or money. “White flight” has already occurred, along with “Affluent flight,” and all that’s left now is a student body raised by parents in difficult circumstances, mostly uneducated themselves, trying to survive.

Reading proficiency? 25%
Mathematics proficiency? 6%
Yeah, that teacher broke, and should be fired. But what were we expecting of them? Were they alone responsible for keeping their cool, their SANITY, while trying to help SOME of these kids graduate this school successfully?
What is the story here? Is it about a racist teacher? Yes, of course. But.
It should also be our racist school system, our racist administration in Sacramento that allows this to happen to Hispanic, Asian, and Black children, but would NEVER ALLOW a “white” school to continue with these kind of scores.
Contrary to Republican anti labor bullshit, they can be fired, it just has to be for an agreed upon reason. This is clearly a good reason.
Sure, they’ll just fire him and the problem will be over. Just some wacko who didn’t appreciate the blessing of being able to teach children.
Sadly an example of what they get when they pay what they pay.
It’s a difficult job for low pay and no recognition!
What kind of applicants will we get???
