ABC reports it as a “rampage”. It is hijinks at best.

RIP to a real one.

Thank God they setup Strike Force Opelika and have now captured this danger to the fabric of society itself!

As an aside, I wonder how they come up with these strike force names, and why Opelika…

Edit: This is how. Basically randomly generated.

“[The police] said that I was one of 60 cars that had been done in the last three days,” she told the ABC on Thursday. She was able to remove the paint with WD-40. The man has been refused bail and is due to appear before Parramatta Local Court today.

43yo dude targeting German car badges… …probably not all there in the head, but surely not such a big menace that he’s been refused bail?

That wouldn’t be out of character, but according to the article he did get bail:

"Mr Mucibabic appeared at Parramatta Local Court today and was granted bail on conditions including that he stay away from the suburbs of Darlinghurst, Paddington and Kings Cross, and that he not own paint cans.

He is due back in court on September 6."

Though I’m definitely in agreement that this one is hijinks at best, given that the article ends on

“She was able to remove the paint with WD-40”

Edit - NVM, it seems the article was updated and a prior version had him being refused bail - though not sure how it counts as “refused” when the bail hearing hadn’t apparently happened yet.
