My intention was to at first allow any language to have more content at the beginning, but later switch to English only when the community would grow large enough for other languages to have their own community. But I understand that users might not enjoy content in a language they don’t understand.
I propose the following options :
- Keep Rule 2 as is, allowing foreign language posts
- Allow foreign language posts but request a short explanation in English.
- Stick to English only.
(I’m not sure how the built-in Lemmy language setting works, hence why I’m not using it yet.)
(This is my first experience with moderation, so I’m not sure how to handle it, hence why I’m asking you how you want it. Also why I’ve allowed everyone to post meta suggestion posts with rule 4.)
