#Israel / Intel’s problems are a serious threat to the Israeli economy

2% of GDP, 6% of high-tech exports…

[…] Unlike many international players that maintain only a development center or very defined and limited activities in Israel, Intel Israel is like a small Intel USA, with a workforce that constitutes about a tenth of all its employees. This is the great pride and strength of Israeli high-tech, but it’s also the great danger today in light of the deep and severe crisis Intel is experiencing. A crisis that will force it, as early as this week, to carry out a series of dramatic moves to ensure its survival. Most likely, these moves will not be the last, but only the first act in a deep recovery plan that will still need to be implemented. If Israel needed another front in the impossible reality it has found itself in over the past year, the Intel cloud is an additional substantial economic threat. According to estimates, Intel plans to make cuts in its factories in Israel.

Help Intel make the right decision and divest from Israel. Also, save the planet while at it and buy a Mac or any other device running #AMD or #arm energy efficient processors.
