I love the character design of this game so much. Too bad that I’m not good at this type of game…
You play some more and get better. Nobody starts good at a game unless they spent that time getting good at a similar one. Probably right at launch will be tons of people at your skill level to learn with.
I’ve spent a good chunk of my childhood playing Tekken 3 with my brother and our friends. I just suck at fighting games :D
Nah, that’s not some inherent quality you have. I played fighting games regularly for basically my entire life, but it was only about 5 years ago that I started to really learn how they work under the hood and focused on how to improve. You can too! Also, “learning how to get good” is a skill that transcends any one genre, so I recommend you try it on one game or another.
This looks more like a Smash clone, which while technically a fighting game, is generally more accessible for people who don’t play fighting games. You can be pretty good just mashing buttons at random unlike Tekken or Street Fighter.
Liked the original quite a bit. Looking forward to this one.
I hope they keep the workshop like in 1.
They’re not last I heard.
Work required for ROA1 level of “workshop characters” is exponentially higher in the new art style and engine. When/if this game gets Steam Workshop, it’ll probably end up with more “tweaked/cloned” characters than totally new wacky MUGEN stuff like ROA1.
Furry smash?! :O
Gimme!
