It will be my first visit to the US ever.

Walk the Booklyn Bridge from Brooklyn to Manhattan. Sights are amazing.
Central Park is an oasis if you have enough of the chaos.
    Staten Island Ferry is nice.
A must is the 9/11 memorial.
See NYC from above: Top of the Rocks or Empire State Building.
Skate at Wollman Rink. I did under a full moon and loved it.

Most of all: enjoy the city and the people, have a safe trip!

If you want to see a fun show, we saw The Play That Goes Wrong a few weeks ago and it’s a blast.

People will try to recomend restaurants, but just walk around and eat at something that looks good. There are so many great places it’s not usually worth going out of your way to go to a touristy place.

Make sure you go into Grand Central and see the main room. It’s probably my favorite place in the city.

If you enjoy art museum, there’s no better American city for it IMO - the Met, Moma, Guggenheim, etc. Lots to choose from. They have been part of the cultural center of NYC. Have a good trip.
