I was interested so started to watch, until he said “so, the first stop was I drove my mobile hacker lab to my parent’s house, cause I figured they’d be happy to see me”
Some folks may enjoy watching a long video about a trip across north america, but for me I’d prefer to learn about the components in the hardware and how it works etc. only
I watched 3/4 of it
Off the shelf 640x400 monocle, custom main board. 2 sizable batteries that just tuck behind your head on the ends of the arms. Audio. Looks great for an open project, but it’s far beyond me to make one and below interest on specs and capabilities at the same time.
yo, thanks
we’re his parents happy to see him?
Watch the rest of the show they didn’t really cover it, but right after his father put the sunglasses on he had kind of a laughing smirk on his face.
thanks
Looks cool but I need a prescription and I need it to be full lens and full wireless. I need to be able to control the holograms without a pointer device.
For a commercial product? Sure. For a passion project? Nah.
I think that’s entirely reasonable for a passion project. Not this guy’s, but someone with that passion and similar needs to do to build off it. That’s the beauty of open source.
you think someone can make presciption lenses in their basement
I’m sure you can order them somewhere, might not be cheap if you need some custom stuff though.
Is there an actual video about the components?
I’m not sure if this is their community: https://smartglasses.community
